Access Florida - Food Stamps(EBT), Temporary Cash Assistance, and Medicaid

The Food Stamp Program(EBT) helps people with low income to buy healthy food. The application can be done online. Please see the website for your local service center. The application is also used for Temporary Cash Assistance, Medicaid, and all other Department of Children and Families services.

Leon County Health Department provides Clinic Services.

Immunizations are free for children under the Vaccine for Children’s Program. Adult immunizations are available at varying prices based on type. Other services they provide have costs based on your income. Fees will be on a sliding scale. Clients must go through a financial eligibility interview before getting obtaining services. Social Services Program - Leon County Health Department

Leon County Health Department provides a Social Services Program. They provide preventive health services that will help mothers, children and families.

Big Bend Cares - HIV Testing

This agency provides FREE HIV testing. They offer the Clearview finger stick test (results in 20 minutes). Testing is provided by appointment on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 3:30 AM (Eastern Time) at Care Point Health & Wellness Center at 2200 South Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL 32301. To schedule an appointment, call: 850.354.8765.

Free at-home testing is also available, with the Take Me Home program. Test kits may be ordered on their website.

HIV tests can also be offered to groups. Big Bend Cares hosts testing events at colleges, health fairs and at other community gatherings.
