Elder Options offers a number of services to seniors. They can answer questions about insurance or Medicare. There are services for those being released from the hospital and need help at home. Caregivers can take a 12-hour caregiver course. Please see the website for more information.

Community Care for the Elderly is a state-funded program. To qualify for services, the client must be 60 years of age or over, and be functionally impaired. Fees are on a sliding-scale basis.
Services provided include:
SHINE volunteers help Seniors with health insurance questions. They provide free information and unbiased counseling. Get Help with questions about: Medicare, Medicare supplements, Medicaid, Prescription assistance, Long-term care insurance, and Medicare fraud. Meet with a SHINE volunteer at area counseling sites or by telephone. We can do home visits for those who are housebound.
