This agency helps those who have been wounded while in the military. They help with basic needs such as rent, utilities, groceries and vehicle payments. They can also help with travel expenses to and from medical facilities. OFR recognizes that it may take a veteran six months to a year to receive benefits. Their aim is to ease the financial burden to these military families on their path back to the civilian world.

First Baptist Church of Brooksville provides a Clothes Closet. On Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 9 AM to 12 noon, they open their clothes closet for any who are in need. There is no charge.
First United Methodist Church of Brooskville offers its food pantry to the community every Tuesday and Thursday, from 9 AM to 1 PM.
First United Methodist Church of Spring Hill provides a food pantry to those in need. The pantry is open every Wednesday from 9 AM to 3 PM. The pantry is located in the Fellowship Hall with a private entrance.
Forest Oaks Lutheran Church provides the Body and Soul Food Pantry. The food pantry is for needy families. They are open each Tuesday, from 9 AM to 12 noon. Photo ID and proof of Hernando County residency is required for all family members.

“Compassion Food” is a community outreach program provided by Grace World Outreach Church. Every third Saturday of each month they will give out 500 meals to families in need. There is a qualification process that takes 5 minutes. You will be given a card that is good for one year. If you need help and have not applied, still come out on that Saturday. You will not be turned away.
Greater Love Outreach Ministries offers a food pantry to those in need. Tuesday and Thursday, from 10 AM to 1 PM. A photo ID may be required. Contact for more information.
Services for the elderly are available. This department can help with job referrals, and employment programs. They may be able to help with obtaining a safety phone as well. Other services may be available. Call for more information.
