Access Florida - Food Stamps(EBT), Temporary Cash Assistance, and Medicaid

The Food Stamp Program(EBT) helps people with low income to buy healthy food. The application can be done online. Please see the website for your local service center. The application is also used for Temporary Cash Assistance, Medicaid, and all other Department of Children and Families services.

Children's Medical Services - Tampa Area

Provides Specialty Medical Care for children ages 0-21 years of age with chronic medical conditions that may hinder normal growth and development. Appointments are made by phone.

Hours of Operation: Monday thru Friday, 8am to 5pm, Saturday thru Sunday CLOSED

Clearwater Free Clinic

Clearwater Free Clinic offers many medical services on-site within our primary care setting. Other services, including diagnostic procedures, are provided by community partners. Comprehensive care includes:

  • Coumadin Clinic
  • Diabetic Program: Care and nutrition, education and supplies
  • Ear, Nose and Throat Program
  • Medication Service (no narcotics): Acute and chronic medications
  • Nutritional Counseling
  • Ophthalmology: Diagnostic exams, diabetic eye exams, refraction and glasses

The state of Florida offers health insurance for children from birth through age 18, even if one or both parents are working. It includes four different parts.

Healthy Start Coalition of Pinellas - MomCare

MomCare is a special health insurance program for pregnant women. If you are eligible, it will cover medical care and hospitalization during pregnancy. It may also cover health care bills you received up to three months before your enrollment. There is no cost for this coverage.
