Sun Houses Transitional Shelter is for men, women, and families. It is a safe and alcohol/drug-free place to learn and practice life skills. They help with education. They help with finding stable work. They help with raising children. They help with housing.

Glad Tidings Community Church is part of 461 Response. They help provide food to those in need. A temporary food assistance program for individuals and families is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to noon. Every Sunday afternoon there are hot meals available for seniors in need. KAIR is a USDA certified food pantry. They offer “Meals to Go” – pre-made meals for the homeless. They offer bags of groceries to those who have cooking facilities. They also offer food baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmastime. The pantry is open five days a week during office hours or by appointment. Call for more information.

Trinity Presbyterian Church provides the Bread of Life Program. It is an Outreach Ministry. This service provides meals and a safe environment to those in need. Call for more information.
Monroe County Health Department provides the WIC program. WIC is a federally funded nutrition program. For Women (must be pregnant, breastfeeding or less than 6 months postpartum), Infants and Children up to 5 years of age. See website for more information.
