This group offers housing programs. These are for military families. There are four different programs. They are designed to help at every stage of their transition into civilian life. Please call or visit the website for more information.

Programs Available:

Interfaith Emergency Services provides Emergency Assistance. They help those that are in need. They will interview you to determine how they can help you. Proper identification is required for those going to Interfaith for help. Emergency funds are given to clients in need of medication and a variety of other services. The payment will be made directly to the provider. Call for more information.

Reading Glasses are made possible through a partnership with the Lions Club, upon availability.

Food Assistance is available to each household one time per month. Interfaith Emergency Services also provides groceries at Dunnellon and Marion Oaks. For information about these pantries, please call the office.

Hygiene items such as soap, deodorant and other items are provided when available.

Free Clothing Boutique is open throughout the week for those in need.
Hours: Monday - Friday, from 9:00am – 11:30am and 1:00pm – 3:30pm.

Identification Cards are provided for those that have recently moved to the area from out of state or county. This program is made possible through a partnership with the local Tax Collector’s Office. Required documentation varies, please call for more information.

The Shelter program is for those who want to work to change their lives.
The Shelter Program provides a safe haven and services for women, single parents, and families experiencing homelessness.
There is case management and many programs to participate in.
You will need to bring proper identification including a photo ID.

Work Boots for Jobs are provided for those needing work boots or non-skid shoes for gainful employment. This requires a letter from your employer (on letterhead). Call for more information.

The lifeline assistance program provides free cell phone service to low-income customers. Those who qualify also receive a free phone. There is a limit of one account per household. Other terms may apply. Visit the website to learn more.

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps low-income households meet their home energy needs. They can help with paying bills or starting service. Please call 352.493.1734 or go to the website to learn more.
