Access Florida - Florida Department of Children and Families

Adult Health Care

This program gives physical exams for jobs and school. They also offer adult vaccines and TB skin tests. They check for health problems like high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease at the Adult Health Clinic or a mobile unit. Medicines for epilepsy, diabetes, and HIV are available through special state programs. You can make an appointment by calling. Childrens Immunizations - Health Dept.

The goal of this program is to protect children early in life by immunizing them against vaccine-preventable diseases. Routine childhood immunizations are free for any child through age 18, regardless of family income. Some vaccines (shots) need to be given more than once to protect your child.

Shots are free for children age 4 weeks through age 18 years. There is no appointment necessary. The office hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 5 pm except on the 4th Friday.

The state offers health insurance for children. From birth through age 18. It is free to apply. Enrollment is year-round. Each child is matched with the best fit of four Florida KidCare programs.
