Supportive Services Tampa Bay - Volunteers of America

This program offers supportive services. The help is for homeless individuals and families. Those being helped have been diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness. The program will help stabilize and prepare them for a life of independence. Program fees are based on income. There are requirements that must be met to participate in the program. Teen Residence - Brookwood

This is a group home for girls ages 13 to 18. They are placed here by DCF because of abuse or neglect at home. Some girls are also placed by their parents due to stressful family situations. The program focuses on helping the girls learn independent living skills, such as education, job skills, money management, and problem solving.     Travelers Aid - Hillsborough

    This service is made possible by a partnership between the Crisis Center and AAA Auto Club South. It is located on the ticketing level at Tampa International Airport. The airport booth is near the Spirit Airlines desk and the USO office. It is staffed by volunteers who help travelers in crisis. Help is available seven days a week.

    Victim Services (VINE) - Department of Corrections

    This program helps victims of crimes committed by Florida inmates. Through the VINE program, victims can sign up for an automatic notification service. Anyone may call the toll-free number to get an inmate's current location and release date. You may also register to learn when an inmate is released, transferred, escapes or dies.     Wellness Center - Tampa Jewish Family Services

    TJFS provides counseling services to people of all ages. Counseling is provided in a confidential and supportive setting. TJFS can provide services on a sliding scale based on total income.

    Women's Health Services & Support - A Woman's Place

    This program provides support to pregnant women and new mothers. It offers counseling and addresses the issues that are important to each client. They will help you to meet goals, get parenting advice or resolve relationship issues. Women who are part of the program receive Life Points, which can be redeemed for new baby clothing, diapers and baby supplies.

    You must be pregnant or have a baby under one year old to be a part of the program.
