EyeCare America’s Senior Program helps seniors aged 65 and older protect their vision. It connects them with local, volunteer eye doctors. They can get a free eye exam and follow-up care for up to one year. Follow-up care is for any condition found during the initial eye exam. Visit the website to learn more.
This program is called SHINE for short. It is a free service. The program has counselors that can help clients navigate Medicare. This will let clients make informed decisions about coverage. The Council has many services for seniors. This includes meal sites, health support, home delivered meals, homemaker services, and nutrition classes. There are also telephone reassurance, and transportation services. Caregivers can apply for respite care.
This Care Center has end-of-life care. They focus on the physical, social, spiritual and emotional needs of its patients. There are services for family members as well.
