New Mothers ServicesThis group runs the Baby Luv Pregnancy and Baby Center. It provides baby supplies. As well as pregnancy testing. The center is open on Tuesday and Friday from 10am until noon. Clients can use the service once a month. Please call or visit the website for more information.
Available Baby Items Include:
This is a shelter for pregnant women over the age of 18 with no other children in their care. The house can accommodate one woman with a child under five in certain cases.
Education and job training are provided so the women can get a GED or college diploma. They will develop specific job seeking skills so they will be more self sufficient. Each woman stays an average of six to eight months after her baby is born.
Office Hours are Monday through Friday from 9am-4pm. The shelter is staffed 24 hours a day.
This agency offers help to pregnant women. All services are free to clients. Counselors provide a caring atmosphere where women can be educated about their choices. Lifeline Resources, Inc. offers help to women who are pregnant. They offer support and education. All services are free and confidential. Call for more information.
Women should receive annual examinations for early detection. The health department offers regular tests such as mammograms and Pap tests. Women can also receive family planning services. Pregnant women can get prenatal care and counseling. The goal is to ensure delivery of a healthy baby. Insurance plans including Medicare and Medicaid are accepted. If you do not have insurance, care is provided on a sliding fee scale. Please call your health center and speak with a Human Service Counselor.
