Access Florida - Food Stamps(EBT), Temporary Cash Assistance, and Medicaid

The Food Stamp Program(EBT) helps people with low income to buy healthy food. The application can be done online. Please see the website for your local service center. The application is also used for Temporary Cash Assistance, Medicaid, and all other Department of Children and Families services.

Emergency Financial Assistance - Jewish Family & Community Services

Jewish Family & Community Service helps with social and community services. They may be able to help with Emergency Financial Assistance. JFCS does not accept walk-ins for financial assistance. You must contact 2-1-1 for the United Way’s referral service. You must first receive a referral from the United Way. Please visit website for more information.

Hunger Relief - Lutheran Social Services

Lutheran Social Services provides hunger relief to those in need within the community.

Hunger Relief Programs:

  • The Nourishment Network Market, located onsite at 4615 Philips Highway, is currently distributing food in the back of the building. No appointment is necessary, and clients may visit LSS for food twice per month. Please bring your ID.
  • Backpack Program provides nutritious food to schoolchildren receiving free or reduced-fee lunches during the school week. The food sent home with the students each Friday provides healthy meals and snacks for the weekend, when school meals are not available. LSS currently provides food to children at 15 schools in Duval and Clay Counties.
  • Serving Our Seniors delivers groceries to 450 low-income senior citizens every month.
