Access Florida - Food Stamps(EBT), Temporary Cash Assistance, and Medicaid

The Food Stamp Program(EBT) helps people with low income to buy healthy food. The application can be done online. Please see the website for your local service center. The application is also used for Temporary Cash Assistance, Medicaid, and all other Department of Children and Families services.

Baker County Health Department - Health Services - Disease Control

A communicable disease may be spread directly or indirectly from person to person. This agency is always contacted when conditions point to such diseases. Each case is investigated.

This agency offers confidential HIV testing and counseling for at risk persons.

The Health Department can examine, diagnose, and treat people for STDs. Early diagnosis and treatment are the best ways to decrease complications and in most cases obtain a complete cure. STD exams are made by appointment during the week.

Baker County Health Department - Immunizations

This agency offer vaccinations (shots) to both children and adults.
Vaccinations are FREE TO ALL CHILDREN 6 weeks thru 18 years old.
For adults, most vaccines are available.
Flu shots are available for adults and children each fall and winter. Watch for clinic information in the newspaper and on radio and TV beginning in October.
TB Testing is available daily EXCEPT THURSDAY for all ages at a fee of $21.00. The client returns to the clinic for results within 48 hours to 72 hours.

This program has services for women with unplanned pregnancies.The services are designed to help protect the life of the child. They provide care and nurturing for women and children, and help to build up families as a woman decides whether a plan to parent or an adoption plan is the best choice for her child and for herself. The goal is to help, encourage, and accompany women in making positive and life affirming plans for themselves and their unborn child.
