This group can help with RENT (if you have an eviction notice) and UTILITIES (if you have a final or disconnect notice) for people who qualify, but only if there is enough money. They can only help a limited number of people. HELP IS NOT GUARANTEED AND MUST BE APPROVED.

The Salvation Army provides emergency shelter. It is for individual men and women who choose not to participate in their programs but just need a good night’s rest, a hot shower, and a hot meal. Stay is limited to 30 consecutive nights. Please contact for more information.
The Workers Program is for single men and women who may stay up to 30 days. Participants must have a steady job or be working day labor. Many clients transition into the Job Merit Program. Please contact for more information.

Kathy’s House provides temporary to long term housing. This program has supportive services and resources. It is for women with or without children.
The Mary Spottswood Women’s Center provides emergency shelter. This program is for women with or without children. Shelter is given for up to 90 days with full support and resources. This center is open 24/7 every day of the year. Call for more information.
