National Family Caregiver Support Program-ACL

This agency gives help to persons sixty or older. The goal of this program is to ease the emotional, physical, and financial hardships of continual care.

Services:
Transportation
Material resources
Assistance in gaining access to services
Individual counseling
Support groups and caregiver training
Respite care
Supplemental services, including housing improvement, chore, provision of medical supplies and services
Legal assistance for caregivers, grandparents or older individuals who are caregivers for relatives.

North Central Florida Alcoholics Anonymous - Dixie and Gilchrist

AA is an international fellowship of people who have have, or had a problem with alcohol. There are no age restrictions. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about their drinking problem. Please call to confirm where the meetings are and what time they start. Operation PAR offers many services for those with substance abuse and/or mental health disorders. Their services are provided on a sliding fee scale based on income. Insurance and Medicaid are accepted for most services. Please call for more information.

This group offers a day program. The program is year-round. Teachers help middle and high school students with education. Counselors help with support, life skills training, and career preparation. They offer help at home, as well as at schools and within the local community. The services are tailored for each girl. This program is free.
