This group offers a program for blind teens and young adults. It is a transition program. The help available is for individuals between the ages of 14 and 24. The program is focused on job readiness. This group is run by the Salvation Army. They get food and comfort to those in need. They give people warm beds and healthy meals. They also have support services to help people rebuild their lives.

The Children's Neighborhood is a group of buildings that have different purposes. There is an emergency shelter for children. There are foster homes for abused, neglected and abandoned siblings. The Neighborhood Center has offices for counselors and case workers. The Teen Transitional Housing consists of a Girls' Apartment and a Boys' Apartment. The Compassion House is a living facility. It is for homeless women and women with children. They provide a total of 8 bedrooms. Washing machines and dryers are available. They accept women or women with children who don’t have a place to live, provided they meet qualifications.

The mission is to provide the following services:

• Emergency shelter, food, clothing and counseling for homeless women and women with dependent children
• Help the women and children create and execute “Life Plans” (Case Plans) with the goal of having their clients achieve self-sufficiency, permanent housing and the ability to get back on their feet so that they can live full productive lives
• Work diligently with other organizations to provide women and children opportunities for health care, childcare and employment

Lighthouse Ministries provides The Gospel Rescue Mission. They provide shelter to homeless and at-risk men as overnight guests. The shelter opens 3:30 PM daily.
