The group believes that services should be strong enough so individuals can be supported in their own home. Or other community-based settings. The group does not help people directly but has several programs to help connect them with services that do. These programs help older adults and people with disabilities. SHINE - Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders

SHINE volunteers help Seniors with health insurance questions. They provide free information and unbiased counseling. Get Help with questions about: Medicare, Medicare supplements, Medicaid, Prescription assistance, Long-term care insurance, and Medicare fraud. Meet with a SHINE volunteer at area counseling sites or by telephone. We can do home visits for those who are housebound.
