LIHEAP stands for Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program. If you live in Dixie county, and you cannot pay your utility bills, this group can provide help. Please call 352.498.5018 to speak to a case worker, or go to website. You may apply online directly by filling out an application.

Free community closet is open for semi-private shopping appointments. We are stocked in newborn-3X, with limited availability of 4X+ sizes.

This group offers Veterans Direct Care. It is called VDC for short. This program is for veterans who need help with daily living activities. It is also for clients who are isolated or who have a caregiver that is experiencing burden. There are eligibility requirements to use the program. This program is called SHINE for short. It is a free service. The program has counselors that can help clients navigate Medicare. This will let clients make informed decisions about coverage. Kids Central, Inc.
Kids Central recruits, trains, licenses, and supports foster parents and children who have suffered abuse, abandonment, and neglect.
Kinship Care Program offers case management services along with support groups for children cared for by relatives. Additional services include advocacy, resource center, legal assistance and intergenerational activities.
