Mothers Helping Mothers

Mothers Helping Mothers is a not-for-profit organization. They provide basic needs to families in need. These needs may be clothing or baby items. All items are donated or purchased through grant funding or private contributions. All are given free of charges to clients. They also offer emotional support and referrals to other agencies. Sarasota County Health Department - Healthy Start

Healthy Start is a program that screens pregnant women and newborn babies to identify risk factors for low birth weight and infant mortality. Healthy Start is free and available to everyone regardless of income. A team of nurses, social workers, and peer counselors assist families in finding out their needs. Classes are in English and Spanish. No appointment is needed.
