Prevention & Intervention Services gives callers information about substance abuse and mental health services. They are screened over the phone. The counselor will determine if Operation PAR can best serve the client. If not, he or she will be referred to another agency within the program.
Inpatient Services , located at the Shirley D. Coletti Academy for Behavioral Change, provides up to six months of intensive residential treatment for substance-dependent adolescents with the average length of stay being four months. the program targets youth between 12-17 years old who are experiencing problems related to the use of alcohol or other drugs. The program utilizes a family-centered approach in a supportive therapeutic community. Services are designed to facilitate a substance abusing adolescent's recovery and to educate and equip family members with the life skills necessary to prevent further substance abuse. a variety of individual, group and family counseling services are offered in a progressive five-phase model. a core of supportive activities including education, recreation, life skill classes, vocational training complements basic services.
