This agency was founded on August 5, 1977. The historic mission of the League has been to help and empower African-Americans. However, they now help anyone and everyone overcome obstacles that keep them from reaching their full potential.

Programs include homebuyer education and counseling. They have employment assistance, budget and credit counseling. They now have a GED college-bound program that is free. There are programs that benefit youth. There is a Workforce Job Training Program. They also have a crime prevention program.

Housing and Neighborhood Development Services (HANDS) of Central Florida, Inc. provides help with obtaining low-cost housing to those in need. They provide one-on-one financial counseling, educative classes, and seminars.
