The state offers health insurance for children. From birth through age 18. It is free to apply. Enrollment is year-round. Each child is matched with the best fit of four Florida KidCare programs. Healthy Start Program - Healthy Start of Central & North Florida Coalitions

The Healthy Start Program is a home visiting program. They help mothers through pregnancy and after the baby is born. It is free to pregnant women and infants. It helps families with children up to age 3. The children are at-risk or need help with their development. They focus on pregnancy, breastfeeding, and newborn care. Healthy Start of Central & North Florida Coalitions

The Healthy Start coalition works hard to keep mothers and babies healthy. They help children get a healthy start in life. They make a brighter future for pregnant women and families with young children. The group is a partner of the WellFlorida Council.

Equal Access Clinic

We provide primary care to adults without insurance. We also provide mental health services and counseling, basic gynecologic care (STD testing and cervical cancer screening), and basic dental care (extractions). Patients can come to our clinics with or without scheduling an appointment. Locations are different for different evenings of the week.

Equal Access Clinic

The Equal Access Clinic is a student-run healthcare clinic which provides free care and other services to the medically underserved in the Gainesville community. Health professional students from UF Colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, and Public Health work together under the supervision of Shands/UF faculty to assess and treat patients.

  • Full primary medical care
  • Follow‐up medical care
  • Social work and psychological consultations
  • Administration of medications, OTC and prescription (NO NARCOTICS)
  • Blood pressure and blood sugar monitoring
  • Confidential HIV counseling and testing
  • Referrals to WE CARE network specialists
  • Emergency dental referrals to the UF dental clinic
