This is a volunteer group in Broward county. The work to assist veterans, the disabled and low income people who need critical home repairs and improvements. The community is working to reduce bad living conditions. For more information, go to website.

Senior Ride (55 +) provides transportation to their local Publix shopping facility only. Wheelchair accessible, air conditioned. However, you must be able to board bus without assistance and carry two packages. You must make a reservation in advance. The annual fee is $25. You can get your eyes checked for little to no cost. You can get your vision checked by student doctors at Nova Southeaster University. All appointments are supervised by licensed eye doctors. To schedule an appointment, please call 954-262-4203 or go to website.

Center for Hearing and Communication offers free amplified phones for Florida residents.

Residents must be:

• Deaf
• Deaf/blind (visually impaired)
• Hard of hearing
• Speech impaired

Hours for pick-up are:
Tuesday & Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
