St. Lucie County Health Department - Project AIDS Care (PAC)

St. Lucie County Health Department offers Project AIDS Care (PAC) waiver program. It is a Medicaid program. It provides home and community-based services to eligible recipients living at home. PAC waiver recipients must show sign of worsened health that places them at risk of hospitalization or nursing facility admission were it not for the provision of waiver services. Eligible recipients must be maintained safely and healthfully in the home setting.

The Veteran Services Division

The Veterans Services Division strives to:

  • Assist St. Lucie County veterans and their families through counseling and assistance in applying for VA benefits under Federal and State laws, which may result in monetary gain and medical care
  • Maintain a network with other social agencies in St. Lucie County in order to provide a larger base of benefits which may be available to veterans and their families thereby offering them a better quality of life
  • Provide services with the highest level of sensitivity, compassion and understanding of Veterans and their families
  • Provide transportation for disabled and disadvantaged veterans to the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center, at no cost to veterans, in order to receive VA medical care
