Alliance for Aging, Inc. - Community Care for the Elderly (CCE) Program

The CCE program provides community-based services. They help older people live in the least restrictive, yet cost-effective environment suitable to their needs. Individuals must be age 60 or older. They must be functionally impaired.

Better Way of Miami, Inc. provides Housing Programs. They do this on a long-term basis for homeless persons with disabilities. These programs offer a range of supportive services.

  • Partners For Homes – This program is funded by Lutheran Services of Florida, providing permanent housing to disabled single individuals and families
  • SRA (Sponsor-based Rental Assistance) – This is a sponsor-based rental assistance program that provides housing and supportive services to disabled individuals
  • SRO (Single Room Occupancy – The SRO Program is a single-room occupancy rental assistance program that provides housing and supportive services for tenants interested in enhancing their recovery in a communal living environment
  • The Access Program – It is a move-in assistance program for those disabled single individuals and families who are working but cannot afford the cost of moving into an apartment, or other residential environment

Better Way of Miami, Inc. - Treatment Serivces

Better Way of Miami, Inc. provides three separate treatment programs.

  • Day/Night Treatment – Clients may continue to reside at Better Way East. They may also move to another Better Way sponsored housing Program. If not, they can reside in local halfway houses or shelters, or with family members. When they aren’t searching for employment, working, or attending school, they attend this intensive outpatient rehabilitation program. It is offered in the evening and during the day.
  • Outpatient Treatment – The ultimate goal of the Outpatient Treatment Program is long-term abstinence from drugs and alcohol. This is done through treatment planning. Group and individual sessions with each person will also be done. They will help them learn how to sustain sobriety through the 12-Step Recovery Model.
