EyeCare America’s Senior Program helps seniors aged 65 and older protect their vision. It connects them with local, volunteer eye doctors. They can get a free eye exam and follow-up care for up to one year. Follow-up care is for any condition found during the initial eye exam. Visit the website to learn more.

SHINE volunteers help Seniors with health insurance questions. They provide free information and unbiased counseling. Get Help with questions about: Medicare, Medicare supplements, Medicaid, Prescription assistance, Long-term care insurance, and Medicare fraud. Meet with a SHINE volunteer at area counseling sites or by telephone. We can do home visits for those who are housebound.

This agency offers the Smiles on Wheels program. It is a school-based dental care program. The services are for children in grades Pre-K through fifth grade. A parent must register the children to participate. The program travels to elementary schools. These schools are in Jackson and Holmes counties. There is no cost to the parents.
