The mission of West Area Adult School is to provide relevant learning experiences that prepare adult students to be responsible, productive members of the workforce.

The Mustard Seed Inn offers transitional housing for men and women. They offer recovery support services for substance abuse and mental illness. They provide case management, counseling, job support services and more. Residents may remain at the facility for up to two years as they work toward regaining their lives. Turning Point is an intervention and detox shelter. It provides services for the homeless with substance abuse issues. This shelter accepts inebriated adults directly from the street. It provides shelter and cold night shelter services to those who have not yet begun their journey towards recovery. Staff members offer supportive services, which may include referrals to other area agencies. Many clients transition into treatment at the Mustard Seed Inn. WIC is a program with federal money, run by the state. It is a food program for pregnant women, infants, and children under the age of 5. Eligibility for the program is based on financial and health needs. There is no cost to you. Please call for more information.

Leon County Health Department provides the WIC Program. It is a federally funded program. It serves infants, children up to 5 years old, pregnant and breastfeeding women, and women in the first 5 months after giving birth. Call for more information.
