Counseling-ACT Abuse Counseling & Treatment

ACT offers counseling and treatment to victims of domestic violence, and survivors of sexual assault. Also offers help for adult survivors of child sexual assault. Their children and families are also offered services. We offer:

Children’s Home Society provides Early Steps. Services are given to infants or toddlers. Early Steps is for children who have developmental delays. Emergency Protective Shelter-ACT Abuse Counseling & Treatment

Services offered to victims and their childern of domestic violence, sexual assault, and new and temporarily homeless. Services include:

  • 24-Hour service
  • Assistance with resumes
  • Child assessments
  • Clothing
  • Food
  • Goal setting
  • Individual counseling
  • Information and safety planning
  • Job skills
  • Parenting skills
  • Personal care items
  • Specialized children's program
  • Tutoring for children

Kid First is an in-home program for at risk families. Meets weekly with counselors.

Grief and Bereavement Support-Chapters Health System (Pasco County)

Chapters Health System offers individual and group support programs for persons affected by different stages of grief. There are special children's programs. They include individual and group counseling. Age-appropriate camping weekends. Programs are free and open to anyone even if the loss. Contact the bereavement department.
