Housing -Habitat For Humanity

Criteria for being chosen:

You have a need

  • You are currently living in substandard housing
  • You do not own my own home

You have the ability to pay

  • You do not have excessive credit card debt or multiple bills in collection
  • You have not declared bankruptcy or had a foreclosure within the past 3 years
  • You pay my rent on time

You are willing to partner with Habitat

  • Attend Habitat homeowner training classes
  • Contribute 250 hours of "sweat equity"
  • You are willing to live in an area where Habitat has homes
  • Pay $1200 towards closing costs

Housing Assistance - Hope Helps

This agency works to prevent and reduce homelessness in Central Florida. They help individuals and families become self-sufficient through Housing, Outreach, Prevention, and Education (HOPE. They give families the tools they need to get them through their crisis. They offer case management and financial help. They get access to resources and educational programs. HOPE also networks with other agencies to find other needed services.

Housing Assistance - Seminole County Government

This agency gives housing help to residents. Check the Seminole County Community Services Website for updates and application forms.

Short term aid is available to clients for rent, mortgage, and utilities. A household must have a financial hardship.

State funds through the Florida Housing Finance Corporation are given to help very low, low, and moderate income homeowners and renters. S.H.I.P funds give purchase help for future homeowners.

This program provides rental help for people to have decent, safe and clean housing.

People applying for financial help can attend an info session on Mondays or Wednesdays.

They do business in accordance with the Federal Fair Housing Law.
