HANDS can help you search for affordable apartments and homes for sale. They partner with other non-profit organizations, governments and the business community. Their goal is to build, acquire, restore and manage low-cost housing units. These are then sold or rented to people below market rate.
HANDS has counseling services in group or one-on-one sessions. These cover: Pre-purchase, Post-Purchase, Budget/Credit analysis, Foreclosure or Default counseling. You can get Reverse Mortgage counseling and Rental/Landlord Tenant counseling.

You can also search for an affordable apartment. There is a list of homes for sale. There are also listings for shelters, senior and disabled housing.

Affordable Mortgages - First Time Homebuyer Program

The First Time Homebuyer Program helps low-to-moderate income people buy a home. They offer low-interest loans. Down payment and closing cost aid is available to eligible buyers.

This agency works with local governments, non-profits and other agencies. Their goal is to help local residents buy their first home.

If you are not a first time homebuyer, you may still be eligible for this program if you are buying a home in a federally designated targeted area or are a Veteran.

Elizabeth House serves survivors of domestic violence, both women and their children. They have a long-term (6-12 months) residential care home. It provides a family environment for women and their children. It gives them a chance to heal, save money for a decent home, get off welfare and achieve financial independence. They can help with job skills. They can help with a court advocate.

Domestic Abuse Shelter - SafeHouse of Seminole

The shelter program at SafeHouse of Seminole serves victims of domestic violence and their children. It is for anyone who believes that they are in danger in their current living environment. All services including housing, counseling, legal assistance, and case management are provided at safe locations. A counselor can help you with a safety plan. They can get you a court advocate. They have training and outreach programs. Someone is always available.
