The food for the pantry is purchased in bulk from the Suncoast Harvest Food Bank. We also receive generous contributions from our congregation. Publix provides bread and baked goods twice monthly. The United Methodist Women is our largest contributor of funds. The Food Pantry is responsible for the Thanksgiving Baskets given out to 300 families each November. Our clients are residents of Hernando County and come from all faiths and backgrounds. They are the unemployed, the employed, the disabled and the elderly. All having a difficult time to make ends meet.
