Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches - Harmony In The Street Mobile Camping (Region 2)

This agency has a mobile camping program. It combines Summer Camp and Youth Camp and offers it to areas that may be socially and/or economically challenged. The aim of this program is to teach youth how to use their free time in a positive manner. They will develop a high level of self esteem and learn positive leadership skills. Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches - Residential Care Services (Region 2)

Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches provides residental care to children in need. It is for ages 8 through 18. Youth are cared for by "cottage parents" who help them develop a strong work ethic, sense of teamwork and self respect. Each child must be recommended by the local Sheriff. Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services, Inc. - Emergency Youth Shelter Care

Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services, Inc. provide Emergency Youth Shelter Care.

When kids need a place to go, they can provide respite care in its two emergency shelter facilities.

The emergency shelters offer:

  • A safe haven for eligible kids, 24 hours a day, seven days a week
  • Activities such as arts, crafts and music, to promote positive youth development
  • Family reunification services and case management
  • Formal on-site education program with certified Miami-Dade County Public School teachers
  • Life skills groups to promote responsibility and independence
  • Mental health counseling
  • Structured daily living programs employing positive behavior modification
  • Substance abuse prevention services
