Agape Home

Agape Home is a residential facility for women. They are committed to help women with harmful addictions. They supply the needs of those women during their nine to twelve month in-house program.

Hope Connections - Support Programs (Moore Haven)

Hope Connections provides Support Programs, such as:

  • Caregiver Support Groups, for individuals who are caring for a loved one
  • Crisis Support, help after a traumatic incident
  • Five Wishes, receive a free copy of Advance Directives
  • Healing Survivors of Suicide, for individuals who have lost a loved one through suicide
  • Hope at Work, local employers can connect with Hope’s services
  • Hope VALOR, services for veterans of the United States military
  • Hope Volunteers, giving back to Hope
  • Memorial Services, memorialize and honor a loved one
  • Mending Steps, grief support groups for adults

WIC - Glades County

WIC gives food and other assistance to pregnant, breast-feeding, and postpartum women. Infants and children under five years old who are at nutritional risk are also included. WIC gives vouchers that allow them to purchase a monthly food package.

Glades County Health Department - Healthy Start

Healthy Start offers screening for all Florida pregnant women and infants.

Services include:

  • Childbirth, Breastfeeding and Parenting Support and Education
  • Delivery
  • Home Visiting
  • Infant care
  • Information and referral
  • Ongoing care coordination and support to assure access to needed services
  • Postpartum care
  • Preconception Education
  • Preconception planning
  • Prenatal care
  • Psychosocial, nutritional and smoking cessation counseling
