Pinellas County Health Department

PCHD provides medical care to the public. There are dental services as well. They also provide services such as controlling infectious diseases, monitoring safe drinking water and disaster preparedness. Vital Statistics provides birth and death certificates. Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority

The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) is the public transit provider in Pinellas County. They have many services, including reduced fares for seniors and the disabled. There are also programs for low income riders. DART is paratransit services for those who cannot use the regular bus system. Buses are equipped to carry up to two bicycles. Folding bikes are allowed on the bus as long as they do not block the aisle. Tickets may be purchased online. Buses now have free wi-fi. Please see the website for more information.

Pinellas County Job Corps

At Pinellas County Job Corps, students receive the skills needed to succeed in today’s workforce. They receive job training and education at no cost to them or their families. Students can get technical training in construction and health occupations. Students can also participate in sports and other activities during their free time.
