Shepherd’s Lighthouse

Transitional housing for single mothers over 21 years of age with children from infant to 10 years old. Average stay is 3-6 months. Shepherd’s has six one bedroom, one bath apartments. Two duplexes with two bedrooms and two baths each. There is an application process and an income requirement. No DCF assistance provided. Women cannot be in an immediate domestic violence or substance abuse crises.  

Dunnellon Community Services

Food pantry is open on the first and third Mondays of each month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Emergencies are by appointment only. Free lunch for anyone 60 and older and caregivers of a client on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Friday. Doors open at 10 a.m. with lunch served at 11:30 a.m. We close at 1 p.m.

Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program: Ocala - Volunteers of America

This program provides temporary and supportive services for Veterans and Veteran families with low or no income. The goal of the program is to promote housing stability through assistance and support services to homeless persons or those at risk of homelessness. Find a Ride - Safe Mobility For Life

The FDOT runs the Safe Mobility for Life Program. One service they offer is called Find a Ride Florida. It offers seniors access to local medical and non-medical transportation options. This is to help make sure they can remain independent within their communities. Find a ride does not offer any services. The program just helps people find transportation providers in their area.
