Covenant House Florida - MOMS, More Opportunities for Moms

Florida Department of Education - McKay Scholarship for Students with Disabilities

The McKay Scholarships for Students with Disabilities gives students with special needs the chance to attend a private school. The program is for students in grades K-12. Please see the website for more information.

Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches - Harmony In The Street Mobile Camping (Region 2)

This agency has a mobile camping program. It combines Summer Camp and Youth Camp and offers it to areas that may be socially and/or economically challenged. The aim of this program is to teach youth how to use their free time in a positive manner. They will develop a high level of self esteem and learn positive leadership skills. Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches - Residential Care Services (Region 2)

Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches provides residental care to children in need. It is for ages 8 through 18. Youth are cared for by "cottage parents" who help them develop a strong work ethic, sense of teamwork and self respect. Each child must be recommended by the local Sheriff. Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital at Memorial offers the Teen Pregnancy and Parenting Project. This program cares for pregnant teens, young parents and their children. Services include:

  • Help with WIC and Medicaid
  • How to eat better
