Emergency Home Assistance for the Elderly Program

The Emergency Home Assistance for the Elderly Program provides is limited to households where at least one member is 60 years older or older. The household must receive a final notice from their utility company, i.e. FP&L, or have already had their service interrupted to be eligible. Income guidelines apply and benefits are paid directly to the energy/utility company.

Friendship Cafés- Senior Friendship Centers

Nutritious, healthy food is provided at The Friendship Cafés to people 60+. Enjoy a friendly atmosphere, often with live entertainment, bringing people together to enjoy a meal. Come early to play cards, games and socialize.

A suggested donation of $3 is asked to help cover the cost of the meals. While no one is denied a meal if unable to pay, the contribution helps us provide more meals for elders in our community.

Reservations are required 24 hours in advance.
