Provide a variety of intervention activities with the goal of evaluating possible risks for contracting and/or spreading AIDS, promoting to get tested, developing and implementing risk reduction plans, providing HIV education and coping skills on how to live with HIV.
The Drug Abuse Foundation’s provides free confidential HIV counseling and testing to all DAF clients and the community.
The OraSure Specimen Collections device, and mouth swab, is used to collect a sample which is then mailed away to be tested. Results are in within 3 weeks on average.
All DAF clients receive HIV/STI education/prevention.
