Weekend Meal/Brown Bag Lunch Program at Cason UMC

Saturday mornings from 9:30 to 11 a.m. two bag lunches (one for Saturday and one for Sunday) are given to homeless and near homeless individuals and families, people with low incomes, senior citizens, and children in our community. This program is run in conjunction with Cason United Methodist Church located at 342 N. Swinton Ave. in Delray Beach.

In 2009, The Caring Kitchen served 102,240 combined breakfast, lunch and dinner meals. The program has added numerous services such as job search assistance and referrals to human service and social service agencies in an effort to move people to self-sufficiency. All of The Caring Kitchen programs are carried out primarily with donated food and volunteers.
